Dr. Sean Colgan, Director of the Mucosal Inflammation Program, Director of the GI and Liver Innate Immune Program, Interim Chief and Vice Chair of Research, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Professor of Medicine Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU Anschutz), recently received the prestigious honor of the Dean's Doctoral Mentoring Award.
Dr. Richard Lindrooth, Professor in the Department of Health Systems, Management and Policy (HSMP) in the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz), Co-Director of the Health Services Research doctoral program and Director of the Health Services Research master's program, recently received the prestigious honor of the Dean's Masters Mentoring Award.
Dr. Farzaneh Hajabdollahi, a recent graduate of Engineering and Applied Science Doctor of Philosophy program with a primary concentration of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver), received the prestigious honor of the Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Hannah Keller is working to expand our knowledge of early humans - both from the archeological and biological perspectives. A recent graduate of the Anthropology master’s program at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver), she defended her master’s thesis in May 2019 and spent the following summer expanding on this research in hopes of collecting more data. She is currently a doctoral student in the Biological Anthropology PhD program at Yale University with a full-ride scholarship.
Dr. Jayne Aiken, recent graduate of the Cell Biology, Stem Cells, and Development PhD program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, received the prestigious Outstanding Dissertation Award from the CU Denver | Anschutz Graduate School.
In 2018, the University of Colorado Denver|Anschutz Medical Campus started its first 3-Minute Talk Competition on the Denver Campus, to be followed by an Anschutz Competition and an Intercampus Competition in Spring 2019.
Meet Shihao Dai, a current student in the accelerated Master of Public Administration program in the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver). Originally from China, Shihao was enrolled in a joint program with CU Denver and China Agricultural University. Through this program, he spent his first two years in China then the latter two years in Denver studying Economics. He also triple-minored in international studies, communication, and political science. For his communication minor, he enrolled in an internship class where he spent a year interning with Connect Us, a local nonprofit.
